How is BioGran produced?

BioGran is produced sustainably by utilizing renewable energies from renewable resources. It consists of 50% natural fibers and 50% by-products of energy production, such as farm manure and plant-based products from primary agricultural production.

Which earth?

The best choice is a high-quality, loose soil with good aeration, ideally mixed with perlite, so that excess water can drain better and the roots receive sufficient oxygen. For young plants, Lightmix is more suitable, while for larger plants or when repotting, a slightly more pre-fertilized soil is recommended. No special soil is needed for in-ground planting; here, a loose structure and active soil life are crucial. Learn more

Do I need to measure the PH or EC when using BioGran?

It is not absolutely necessary to measure the pH or EC value - you can of course do it if you want to be particularly thorough. But trust that the microorganisms in the soil have the natural balance under excellent control.

Can I use additional boosters?

Yes, organic and mineral boosters can be combined with BioGran.

Is it possible to use coconut substrate?

Yes, coco coir can be used, but it requires some attention.

Coco coir is very airy but contains hardly any nutrients and can initially bind calcium and magnesium. As a result, nutrients are not immediately fully available.

Recommendation: Lightly support for the first 7–10 days and keep the substrate consistently moist. After that, BioGran reliably takes over the long-term supply. Learn more
